Ayocuan Pacheco
About Mr. Ayocuan
Ayocuan Pacheco received a Master of Music Performance in viola performance under Dan Foster at the University of Maryland in 2023 and is currently studying violin with Zino Bogachek. He earned a Bachelor of Music in Violin and Viola Performances from the University of the Pacific in 2021, studying with Ann Miller on violin and Igor Veligan on viola. Throughout his education, he has taken master classes from the American Quartet, Miró Quartet, and many others, including Chee-Yun, where he has attended the Chee-Yun and Friends chamber music festival for the last 5 years and has played principal viola in the orchestra. Pacheco was the Prince George Philharmonic's 2022 fellowship winner and assistant principal violist. From 2020-2023, he served as concertmaster, associate concertmaster, principal second violin, and principal viola at his alma maters. In 2020-2021, he even performed in the violin sections of the Londontowne Symphony and Zion Chamber Orchestra. Because of an absence of musical possibilities in his birthplace, Pacheco, a native of Stockton, California, has taken advantage of opportunities to perform all around the DMV area.
