Program Details:

Fantastic Fridays: After-School Music Exploration Program available to Kindergarten through 5th Grade Yu Ying and DC Bilingual students, from early release until 4:00 pm. PM Extended Day is also available from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, with the option of private lesson instruction during the program day for an additional cost. This Music Exploration Program is designed to provide an enriching music experience every Friday after early dismissal, featuring a Music Exploration Class, snack time, and a restorative recess.

 

RSM will provide transportation for student program participants from Yu Ying and DC Bilingual Early dismissal to Richardson School of Music located at 7320 Carroll Ave Takoma Park, MD 20912. (Please Note: Dance Exchange is our temporary group class/program space located at 7117 Maple Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912 during building renovations. In the event the program needs to move to our temporary program location, you will receive advance notice).

 

For snack and outdoor recess (weather permitting), students will gather at a designated park, either Takoma Playground (301 Van Buren Street NW, Washington, DC 20012), Spring Park (6999 Popular Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912) or Opal A. Daniels Park (7515 Hancock Ave, Takoma Park, MD 20912). In case of inclement weather, snack and recess will be held indoors, and snacks will be provided.

 

Pricing:

• The Friday After-School Music Exploration Program tuition is $340 per month, with no proration for holiday months.

• PM Extended Day from 4:00 to 6:00 pm incurs an additional cost of $100 per month.

• Private one on one lessons are available during the program day for an extra fee. The pricing details are as follows:

  • 30-minute private lesson: $212 per month   

  • 45-minute private lesson: $304 per month

  • 60-minute private lesson: $396 per lesson

 

Payment is  processed one week prior to the start of each month. The first program payment is due on Friday, September 5th or at the time of registration. There is no proration for Holidays or PD school closures on days we are unable to pick-up due to Yu Ying/DC Bilingual school closures. Each participant is billed $340 a month. 

 

Please note that authorized adults are required to pick up your child/children from RSM. Refer to the pick-up instructions below for more details.

 

Pick-up Instructions:

• All students must have an authorized parent/guardian pick-up form on file.

• Fantastic Fridays Music Exploration Program day ends at 4:00 pm

• For PM Extended Day from 4:00pm until 6:00 pm, registration is required in advance. 

• Pick-up is from Richardson School of Music

Please note: Full Day Programs may be available on certain charter school closure days (please ask for details and pricing).

*Registration fee is ($27.50). The Program Registration fee is waived for students also enrolled in Private Lessons. Payments with a credit card are subject to a 3% processing fee. Ask about our sibling discount.
