FAQ’s:

What is required of my child to audition?

​

Students may sing 30 seconds of one of the following songs:

​

“Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, “Happy Birthday”, “Mary had a Little Lamb”, “My Country ‘tis of Thee”, “Row, Row, Row your Boat”, or “America the Beautiful.”

​

Please call or e-mail us if your child would like to audition for chorus after the session start date. We would be more than happy to arrange an alternate audition day and time.

Why join RSM Children’s Chorus?

Your child will learn such skills as good vocal technique, how to read music, while developing teamwork and self-confidence.

Who can join the chorus?

All students from 2nd to 8th grade are encouraged to audition (girls, boys with changed/unchanged voices).

​

How often does the Chorus perform?

The chorus performs several times a year, including a winter and spring concert, and several community events.

​

How often do they rehearse?

Rehearsal is held once a week. Additional rehearsal(s) may be added prior to concert dates.

 

What kind of music does the chorus perform?

Our chorus will practice and perform music from various musicals, songs from movies, etc. 

 

How much does it cost to participate?

New RSM students will pay $310 for the session; current RSM students (students currently enrolled in private or group instruction) will pay $260, and current RSM voice students will pay $210. This includes 8+ rehearsals (up to 10, depending on the session), materials and uniform costs.
