About Ms. Heidylind
Heidylind has studied in various music schools starting at the early age of four, and has been a part of multiple orchestras such as “El Sistema” in Venezuela where she originates from. She started teaching violin and music theory at sixteen to both children and adults. Her desire to pursue teaching music arose from these experiences, and she began studying music education as a career path at Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) in Venezuela.
In 2017, Heidylind moved to the U.S. and started teaching in the Broward area. She also played in the Broward Symphony Orchestra. Shortly after, she attended La Sierra University in California for their Performance Certificate Program, where she also was a member of their orchestra and choir for around 7 months.
Heidylind proved to be very capable as a leader through her role as a music teacher of the "Hollywood Spanish SDA Church Symphony Orchestra" which was started with a group of youth and adults from the church and community. Currently, Heidylind is pursuing a music degree in Violin Performance at Washington Adventist University.
The violin has been Heidylind's primary instrument for 15 years, however, she has had the opportunity to play and teach other stringed instruments such as the viola, cello, double bass, guitar, cuatro, and piano. She loves to teach kids, and she is also happy to teach people of all ages.
