Jonathan Hawkins

Jonathan Hawkins is a College Park - based career touring guitarist/singer, multi-instrumentalist, and arranger. Notable credits include touring Broadway musicals Mamma Mia! Farewell Tour, Flashdance: The Musical 3rd National Tour, and Bullets Over Broadway 1st National Tour; performing in residency as a pit orchestra guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Vietgone at Studio Theatre, Washington, DC, as well as theatres and productions across the country.  Jonathan
also performs production band member and featured soloist aboard luxury cruiselines over several seasons for Princess Cruiselines. 

Jonathan has taught internationally in private and group settings.  Any level or style, Jonathan’s goal is not only to teach to play the instrument, but to teach his students how to properly practice,
visualize, and achieve musical and technical goals.

Jonathan is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Performance on the Guitar, with emphasis on composition and audio production, and is a recipient of the John Phillip Sousa Award and the Berklee Achievement
Scholarship.  While in school, Jonathan’s musical endeavors included composing music and sound design for virtual reality environments for historical and scientific education across American museums and schools (PublicVR, Jamaica Plain, MA), assisting live sound at the Boston Museum
of Fine Art’s Summer Concert Series, composing and producing scores for independent films and video games (2014 – Footsteps; 2013 – Teatime for Tyranny; 2011 – Adultswim Games’ Girls Like Robots; 2011- Unacceptable).
