Violinist Angela Lamb is a fierce and passionate musician equally at home playing Bach on the concert stage to improvising in a park. She is an advocate for new music and free improvisation. An avid orchestral musician, Angela performs with the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra and the New Mexico Philharmonic. She held positions with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra, the Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, and the Green Bay Symphony. She has performed at venues across the U.S. and Europe including the KKL Lurzen, the Kölner Philharmonie, and the Elbphilharmonie.
Angela holds a BM from the Lawrence Conservatory of Music and a MM from The Hartt School of Music. Her principal teachers are Yumi Hwang-Williams, Katie Lansdale, and Wen-Lei Gu.
Angela recently moved to Takoma Park, Maryland with her husband, Kumail, and their two rats, Philippe and Louie. She loves science fiction, running, and climbing mountains.
